あと89日 熱量は対面でしか伝わらない説

89 days to go. They say passion can only be conveyed in person.

Hey everyone!!!

I had booked a return flight for 13:00, but

drank until morning with some firefighters in Okinawa, didn't sleep, and walked for 2 hours straight to the bus stop, so

I arrived at the airport at 8:00, and ended up paying a ¥9000 surcharge to take the 9:00 flight home—this is Oda!

Finally!

I went to Okinawa.

It was an incredibly intense few hours.

It took me 50 minutes by express bus from Naha Airport to the Okinawa-Minami Interchange,

and the person who became my turning point came to pick me up by car.

We met up and immediately went to an izakaya while chatting about all sorts of things.

They didn't have Orion Beer, so we toasted with beer and had a long, in-depth conversation about our backgrounds, our future visions, and the Okinawa Firefighters Calendar.

That's right.

The person who became my turning point is the leader of the 2024 Okinawa Firefighters Calendar.

Hearing about the process of making it happen and the behind-the-scenes stories was truly fun and inspiring.

Also, I was truly happy to hear

that person say,

“I'll support you.”

I feel even more determined now.

And after drinking at the izakaya for about 4 hours,

when we went outside, a group of firefighters from other headquarters, who were acquaintances of that person, were drinking outside.

Of course, I greeted them loudly, and they welcomed me really warmly, and we talked about all sorts of things.

We unexpectedly had a lot of mutual acquaintances, and I really felt like it was destiny.

That's what I thought.

The person who became my turning point had their child's event the next day, so we said our goodbyes there.

Thank you so much.

I look forward to seeing you again!

And then, the drinking party with the first-time firefighter group started!

Among them, the oldest person was truly full of manly spirit, and the conversation just kept flowing.

In that flow, I ended up joining 2 more parties with everyone.

There, too, I spent the whole time laughing at everyone's kindness and cheerfulness as the night wore on.

Thank you so much to everyone I met this time.

I look forward to seeing you again.

What I felt this time was,

after all, there are limits to communicating through text online, and to convey your passion, your determination, your feelings, and your sincerity, you have to go and meet them even if it's on the other side of the world.

That's what I learned.

So, this is Oda, who didn't book a hotel, didn't sleep a wink, walked and walked, and is now typing this blog in the Naha Airport lobby!

Everyone in Okinawa!

I want to see you again!

Thank you
