Hey there!
I'm the type who always has a smile on my face!
I'm Oda!
#WhatTheHellWasThat
I've been thinking about something lately.
Whether I'm asleep or awake, I'm always thinking about the Firefighter Muscle Calendar in my head.
The best example of this is my dreams.
Quite often, my dreams are about how to run the business, create products, and other things related to the Firefighter Muscle Calendar.
As proof, there are quite a few times when I wake up from a dream and write down what I was thinking about in the dream in my smartphone notes.
Why is this happening?
Is it okay?
Is it a good thing?
I wonder.
I also wonder if I'm unable to switch off.
However, I remembered something.
It happened during my first year as a special rescue firefighter.
I had always wanted to be a rescue firefighter, and I became one for the first time at age 24.
At that time, there were so many things to memorize, so of course I spent every day studying, but whenever accident footage aired on the news, I would think, "I should put a wheel chock here, and then..." and even when walking around town, I would think, "What if a suspension rescue happened at that utility pole?"
It was really to the point where there was no boundary between work and non-work.
When I think about it, I naturally have dreams about it, as mentioned above.
Even on my days off, I was going on rescue calls and training in my head and dreams.
Thanks to that, the number of rescue calls I imagined has reached 10,000. Lol
But how about now?
My experience as a rescue firefighter has naturally increased since then.
Does the same thing still happen on my days off or when I go to sleep?
The answer is NO.
So, was my state during my first year of rescue work a bad one?
The answer to that is also NO in my mind.
The reason is that it's actually useful now.
Also, I think the reason I even dreamed about it back then was because I was anxious.
Because I was anxious, I thought about it over and over again, and formulated countless hypotheses about how to make it work.
However, because I couldn't verify them (there were few calls), the hypotheses kept piling up, or I would rethink the content of the hypotheses, and that's probably why they started appearing in my dreams.
It's probably the same this time.
I'm formulating hypotheses in my head and trying to execute them, but I'm still an active firefighter.
If I can't establish a company, the content I can share is limited, and I don't have any track record as a civilian, let alone a successful one.
Most of my hypotheses remain just hypotheses.
That's why anxiety takes precedence.
I think I keep thinking about it more and more to relieve that anxiety, until it starts appearing in my dreams.
However, I don't think this is a bad situation.
Because it's absolutely impossible to quit and start a business just by winging it or relying on momentum.
I have a wife and three children.
To live with this precious family, my hypotheses must be logical and filled with passion.
That said, having nothing but hypotheses is also absolutely no good.
I have to verify them quickly, solve problems while having my hypotheses disproven by experience, and keep moving forward.
That's what a challenge is.
To summarize what I've said so far.
If something keeps appearing in your dreams every day, it might be because of your hypotheses.
“What if I fail at that project?”
“What if that person gets angry at me again tomorrow?”
“I wish I could date that person.”
They're all hypotheses.
If that project succeeds, I won't have dreams.
If I become friends with that person, I won't have dreams.
If I can date that person, I won't have dreams.
So, let's take the necessary verification (action)!!
If you do, I think those dreams will gradually become reality.
In my case, I think I'll keep dreaming for at least another three months.
When I quit and verification (action) gets into full swing, I think I'll be too busy every day to have time to dream.
#Or I'll have different dreams
So, I'll pray at a shrine that the content of the dreams you've been having lately turns into a wonderful reality!
Good night!
This was Oda!
P.S. I think I wrote this article around late November.
By the way, I'm still dreaming about the Firefighter Muscle Calendar business every day until I post this in late January.
Thanks to that, I've been formulating countless hypotheses, and surprisingly, I've been able to put them into action.
#I'm probably the first person in Japanese history to prepare to start a business this boldly while still in my current job
