あと74日 また涙の撤退(あーも)

74 days left—another tearful retreat (A-mo)

Hey there!

This is Oda, who has given up drinking at night, which I used to do occasionally.

#Maybe I'm better off not drinking anymore.

This time, I have some rather sad news.

In my previousarticle, I told you!

I've decided on the company that will make my calendar!

That's the happy news I'm going to take back.

#It's a good thing I didn't mention the company's name.

The reason is that they stopped getting back to me. Lol.

When I first contacted them through their inquiry form, they got back to me right away, and their response was so accurate and helpful.

But then, they suddenly stopped replying to my emails. Even when I sent follow-up emails, I got no response, and when I called the number listed on their website, it just kept ringing and went straight to voicemail.

Huh? Something's wrong.

Thinking that, I searched for reviews of the company for the first time, and

I found many reviews saying,

"They suddenly stop replying to your messages."

And

"They never answer the phone."

And so on.

I just burst out laughing.

As you all know, I had already decided on that company, and I had been paying 3,000 yen a month to learn the Illustrator files they specified, practicing by creating a logo, and was just about to start making the calendar.

But since I can't get in touch with them, there's no way I can continue.

So, I'm giving up on hiring them for this job.

=All the Illustrator data for the templates that company had specified on their website has gone to waste 🫧

#You should have told me.

#But I'm glad I realized it early.

So, I completely changed my approach and started looking for a partner who could meet with me in person, understand what I wanted to do, and help me make it happen.

And of course, that means looking for a company within Saga Prefecture.

I immediately

searched for "Saga printing" and found many companies. I narrowed it down to three and sent an email to all of them.

Then, I'm going to meet with all of them in person, let them see my personality and other things, and then ask for a quote.

#I'll work hard to sell 300,000 copies someday, just like in Australia.

#What's a business partner?

I don't know how to put it, but it was a bit disappointing, and I felt like I'd been let down, but the time I had spent preparing really paid off.

If I hadn't had that time, I would have been rushing like crazy.

I've reaffirmed that when you're doing something unfamiliar or important, it's essential to take more time to prepare than you think.

This article turned out to be more of a status report, but please bear with me.

I'm gracefully walking away!

This was Oda Seishiro.
